Hong Kong stocks were slightly lower in the opening minutes on Wednesday following losses on Wall Street, as already fragile sentiment was jolted by growing fears about a coronavirus surge in Europe that has forced new lockdowns.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.2 percent to 28,437.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.5 percent to 3,394, and the Shenzhen Composite Index fell 0.6 percent to 2,183. (AFP)
