HK shares open lower on Wall Street, Ukraine fears

Hong Kong stocks sank at the start of trade on Monday following steep losses on Wall Street as traders grow increasingly concerned about a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, adding to ongoing inflation woes.

The Hang Seng Index fell 0.7 percent to 24,725.

The Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.3 percent to 3,451, while the Shenzhen Composite Index slipped 0.6 percent to 2,249. (AFP)
