HK stocks open lower as investors eye earnings news

Hong Kong stocks dipped slightly at the open on Thursday morning as investors braced themselves for the start of the corporate earnings season.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.3 percent to 28,604.

The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.4 percent to 3,467, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange also lost 0.4 percent to 2,249. (AFP)
