HK stocks open lower, hit by profit-taking

Hong Kong stocks edged down at the start of trade on Thursday morning as profit-takers moved in following a healthy two-day rally.

The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.6 percent to 28,998.

The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.2 percent to 3,585, while the Shenzhen Composite Index was marginally down, dipping 0.68 points to 2,379. (AFP)
