Hong Kong stocks suffer another hefty loss

Hong Kong shares ended a painful week with another big loss on Friday, as traders grow increasingly worried about the Federal Reserve’s more hawkish tilt to fight inflation.

The Hang Seng Index sank 1.1 percent, or 256 points, to 23,550.

The Shanghai Composite Index shed 1 percent, or 32 points, to 3,361, while the Shenzhen Composite Index hardly moved, inching down 0.04 points to 2,262. (AFP)
