Worsening Sino-US relations hit HK stocks at open

Hong Kong stocks fell in the first few minutes of trade on Friday morning as China-US relations returned to the fore after President Joe Biden almost doubled the number of Chinese firms included on a Washington investment blacklist.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.4 percent to 28,837.

The Shanghai Composite Index sank 0.5 percent to 3,565, while the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.4 percent to 2,383. (AFP)
